Bio
Daniel C. Mireles is a native of El Paso, Texas and has widespread construction work experience and a construction administration background. As a Contract Administrator, Daniel is active in construction procurement and negotiation of contract price, contract document terms and conditions, administer contractual documents and provide post-award administration of contracts of construction projects for the firm's clients.

Daniel has experience in various construction administrative positions including estimating, procurement, inspection, grant writing, specification writing, construction budgeting & planning and contract document writing. As the former Director of Development of the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, the state's third largest public housing authority, his duties were to initiate and oversee the preparation and management of multi-million dollar budget applications for the acquisition, planning, demolition, and physical improvements of existing housing units and the organization's facilities. In addition to monitoring its own design and construction projects as Director, he developed extensive procedures for monitoring progress on multiple professional services and construction projects.

Daniel was employed as a utility contractor estimator for drainage, water, gas and buried multi-communication projects on large scale governmental projects that include the US Army Corps of Engineers (New Orleans District), Bureau of Reclamation, Fort Bliss, and the City of El Paso.  Estimating experience includes refinery projects, high rise complexes, and shopping centers.

Daniel was employed by the Texas Department of Public Transportation (District 8) as an Engineer Technician I to perform District wide soil density, concrete strength testing.  He worked on the major roadway overlay and bridge raising on Interstate 10.  He also served as the Chief Inspector for the construction of the new Country Club Bridge over the Rio Grande River.

Daniel is also the Records Management Administrator for Wright & Dalbin Architects responsible to oversee the storage and retrieval of the firm’s hard copy and electronic records and documents.  Wright & Dalbin Architect’s maintains a complete and comprehensive records documents program.

Daniel possesses an Associates of Applied Science degree in Design Technology and studies in construction management, business administration, education and civil engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Daniel Mireles is a member of the El Paso Chapter Construction Specifications Institute and serves as its 2nd Vice-President and certification/education chairman.  He is a Certified Construction Contracts Administrator by the Construction Specifications Institute, and currently seeking his certification for construction specifier.  He has received training and certifications for Contract and Procurement Management from the Housing Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, and for Project Management for Engineering and Technology & Implementation from the University of Texas at Austin.
