Bio
Geoffrey Wright was raised in El Paso, Texas, received a Master of Architecture Degree from Texas A&M University (1976) and a Bachelors of Architecture with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin (1974). He was first registered as an architect in Texas in 1978, and has also been registered in Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Mr. Wright holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate. He is fluent in Spanish and German and has taught at architecture schools in Mexico, Florida, and Texas.

Geoffrey Wright has performed Design and Construction Administration services for a variety of projects including school projects for the San Elizario, Socorro, Ysleta, and El Paso Independent School Districts as well as for the University of Texas at El Paso. He has also worked on various commercial projects and office buildings.

Master Planning projects include the 300-acre Land of Texas new urbanist mixed-use project in Horizon City, Texas and a 62-acre mixed-use project in Cd. Juarez, Mexico.

As an intern architect Geoffrey Wright worked for Frei Otto designing the new government center for Saudi Arabia and planning the Moslem Pilgrimage to Mecca.

As head Architect for the design/build company Condel in the 1980’s, Mr. Wright was personally responsible for designing and planning a variety of projects including hotels, apartments, and office buildings throughout the United States. This work valued at over $500 million involved selecting sites, hiring consultants, obtaining building permits, and administering construction contracts.

Geoffrey Wright has served as a member of various civic committees and boards including Building and Zoning Advisory Committee to the City of El Paso, Historic Landmark Comission, the AIA El Paso Chapter, CCIM, and the El Paso Tennis Club.
