Lower Dyer Neighborhood Housing
The project is part of a Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program to revitalize distressed neighborhoods. Wright & Dalbin was hired by TVP Non-Profit Corporation to master plan and design/build 10 units a year for the next five years. The master plan incorporates principles of New Urbanism. The neighborhood is planned to be pedestrian friendly and conveniently linked to mass transit, with reduced front offsets to integrate residents with the neighborhood. The units are single family dwellings and duplexes and are Designed to Earn the Energy Star.
