Seven Field Houses Ysleta ISD El Paso, Texas
Ysleta ISD is planning to build seven new athletic field houses at seven existing high schools. Wright and Dalbin seperated the project in three teams for ease of administration and consultant work coordination. Team one is comprised of three schools: Del Valle, Parkland, and Riverside High School. Team two is Bel Air and Eastwood High School. Team three is Hanks and Ysleta High School.
The architectural program includes almost 16,000 square-feet of locker rooms, showers, training rooms, gymnasia, coaches' offices, and storage rooms among other sports support spaces.
The interior and exterior designs reflect the local historical architecture of the Ysleta region. Additional care is being taken to relate to existing building designs per campus, which mandates a different exterior design for each high school even though they share the same floorplan.
The YISD field houses are planned for completion in the fall/winter of 2006.
